Wind Energy in Victoria - What can be achieved by 2020?

From its beginning in the late 1990's, the wind farm industry in Victoria, Australia, has made significant achievements and is on a rising curve heading towards meeting at least 10% of Victoria's annual electricity demand by 2020.

Enhar have produced a study of wind farm locations, project capacities and generation output in Victoria.  The target audience includes professional wind developers, academics researching renewable energy capacity and interested members of the public. Some background knowledge on the industry is assumed.

The analysis includes historical information plus future projections based on announced wind farm projects. Robust references and cross-refernces have been used to ensure the data is accurate and complete.  The economic downturn and depressed REC prices have lessened the pace of investment and the rate of construction, however the projects listed remain the map to the future industry in this part of Australia.
