Lifesaving clubs get solar boost – grants now available

4 Feb

The Victorian Minister for Energy and Resources announced at the Port Melbourne Life Saving Club an  initiative to provide grants to install solar panels on Life Saving Victoria clubs across rural and metropolitan Victoria.

The $500M Community Renewables Solar Grants Initiative enables Life Saving Victoria clubs to apply for grants from now with the installation of solar systems expected to get underway from March 2016.  Each project must apply to the government to obtain funding.

Enhar provides solar PV feasibility, design and project management services to community and business clients. We also provide grant assistance and are available to guide surf club applicants to benefit from this fund.

Labour Member for Albert Park Martin Foley said at the launch:

“I encourage all local lifesaving clubs to apply for solar panel grants so they can spend less money on energy bills and more time keeping Victorians safe at our beaches and waterways.”
