Enhar on Panel: Can solar farms on landfills increase the Sustainability of Australia’s Waste Sector?

Enhar director Demian Natakhan will be joining an impressive panel,  providing his insights on solar farms on former landfills.

The final resting place for our municipal waste - closed landfills  - can become the site for solar power generation.
When: Wednesday 23rd October Where: Waste Expo Australia, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Municipal Stage Time: 10.30am-11.20am
The session aims to provide high-level thought leadership on some of the pressing issues surrounding Australia's waste sector.  With land in inner and outer metropolitan areas at a premium, former landfills present significant opportunities to accommodate solar farms in the 1-5MW scale. Enhar is undertaking a significant volume of work for councils exploring solar farm feasibility on former landfill sites. We evaluate the technical and environmental challenges around landfill solar farms and financial and business case modelling to inform council decision makers. Come along to hear about
  • How solar farms on landfills can create a productive contribution to sustainable energy,
And her from industry experts as they discuss some of the factors for consideration when speaking about the country's wider Waste to Energy challenges.
