The project has implemented over 1.5MW of solar PV. It involves scoping and optimum site identification, detailed feasibility assessments and concept design, request for tender documentation, evaluation of tenders, project superintendent and project management of $9M of clean energy projects including solar PV installation and solar thermal.
Enhar undertook high level site screening of all council owned facilities (>300 sites), to identify the optimum 15-20 sites for solar PV installation.
The detailed feasibility at the optimum sites included identifying all site constraints such as building roof fabric and framing, roof orientation, shading profiles and electrical/grid infrastructure. For internal budgeting purposes detailed business cases were issued including a full financial case.
During the implementation Enhar has managed the tender process and project installation, supervising contractors and ensuring stakeholders are adequately communicated regarding project timeframes and disturbance through weekly meetings and ongoing written communication.
Enhar has managed the installation of 300kW of solar installation over 9 sites and a 200kW solar system on a complex roof area with multiple site meters.The solar PV installations are in various University of Melbourne Campus in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria across a number of different electrical distributors.
The University is funding the package through a Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) loan.
